CHALACO

Un documental dirigido por Edeer Martinez

story line

A group of muralists and a passionate historian tour the seven districts of Callao exploring the true meaning of being Chalaco, in its spirit, history, culture and gastronomy. A remembrance of the Constitutional Province of Callao and the idiosyncrasy of its people.

SYNOPSIS

CHALACO is the adjective used by the inhabitants of the Constitutional Province of Callao. It is a word of Quechua origin that means MAN OF THE COAST, but... what does it really mean to be a Chalaco? This is the question that our documentary sets out to explore. Callao has many faces and nuances, and we will define each of them through art. To do this, we sought out urban muralists from each of the seven districts of Callao, to ask them to create a work that represents the identity of their neighborhood.
